Vendetta are a four-piece band made up of Riley, Josh, Will and Albert. Their four contrasting personalities come together to combine their different ideas, influences and talents, creating a sound that is energetic, varied and always evolving.

Based in Worthing, Vendetta blend pop-punk and punk rock with influences from a range of other genres. Their willingness to experiment allows them to explore different sides of their sound, from energetic punk-driven tracks to more stripped-back and emotional material.

The band have been steadily building their journey through regular rehearsals and live performances, with their gigs taking them from the south coast to venues as far north as Manchester. With plenty more to come, Vendetta are continuing to develop their sound, grow their live presence and see where their music takes them next.

For the Small Geezers album, Vendetta showcase their softer side with Valentine, an acoustic ballad written by Riley about finding someone special to share a lifetime with. The song explores the feeling of appreciating, loving and being grateful for the person who feels like a true soulmate.

While Valentine has a natural connection to Valentine’s Day, its message is about celebrating love and appreciation all year round. The live studio acoustic version featured on the album was recorded in a single take, giving the track an honest and unfiltered quality.

Lead vocalist Riley Morris delivers the song with a raw and heartfelt performance, allowing the emotion behind the lyrics to shine through. The track also demonstrates Vendetta’s versatility, providing a more intimate contrast to the pop-punk energy they bring to their usual sets.

With their mix of personalities, genres and influences, Vendetta continue to carve out their own musical identity — and Valentine offers listeners a chance to hear a different side of what this young band can do.
