Rockhopper are a four-piece covers band from Bognor Regis, bringing together a lively mix of Rock & Roll, Pop, Rock and Soul to create a set packed with great songs, big vocals and plenty of energy.

At the heart of the band is local guitar legend Mati, whose lead guitar playing brings a distinctive edge to the Rockhopper sound. He’s joined by John on bass and Ian on drums, who provide a solid rhythm section driving the beat, and the unmistakable Debs on lead vocals, whose unique style and powerhouse voice give the band its character and make every performance something special.

With a huge and varied repertoire and many years of combined experience behind them, Rockhopper know how to put together a set that keeps audiences entertained from the first song to the last. Whether you’re a fan of classic Rock & Roll, timeless Pop favourites, Rock anthems or soulful grooves, there’s something in the Rockhopper set for everyone.

The band’s focus is simple: great songs, played live, with plenty of energy and a real connection with the audience. Expect familiar favourites, sing-along moments and, most importantly, a dance floor that’s hard to keep empty!

Their original song Isadora Valentine, which features on the Small Geezers album, was originally a reggae track written by Sue Burleigh, a friend of the band. Sue gave it to Rockhopper to use and record as they liked, and Mati totally rearranged the track to a more rock vibe and and Debs added the vocal melody.
