We are delighted to announce the Bognorphenia CIC have secured £15,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Community Fund supports community projects that help people connect, grow and build a better future. The focus is on supporting people facing poverty, disadvantage or discrimination. Their ethos is that stronger communities create brighter futures, which is why they back brilliant projects led by local people.
The National Lottery funding will be used to support the Bognorphenia Young People’s Music Project. Groups like Bognorphenia Singers can continue to use the community centre and free music lessons will be funded for young people.
Bognorphenia founder Kez Bridger said “I’m really chuffed that we secured National Lottery funding as it shows how much impact we are having among young people in the community. The aim of the Young People’s Music Project is to provide inclusive, free opportunities for young musicians and singers, and this money will allow us to continue this mission.”
