The Ultra Fast Broad Band is the brainchild of David and Stefan, two members of Woodruff but also artists and producers in their own right. The Ultra Fast Broad Band is their vehicle for writing, recording and performing original tunes where they play all the instruments as well as vocals.
The Ultra Fast Broad Band also produced most of the tracks on Small Geezers and you’ll often find them hanging out in the studio, mixing and mastering songs for other artists.
Their song This Time is about hope, promise and better things for the future. “Boy you’re really gonna love again this time “ is the opening line, and simply means looking forward with positivity.
It was recorded using a single microphone and a Shure SM57 for every instrument, including all vocals. David layered the instruments one by one, starting with the finger picked acoustic guitar and then many others including harmonica and even banjo. Stef is playing the accordion and joins in with the vocal harmonies.
There are no plans for live performances at this time as the boys are happy working in the studio. They have recorded an album “With A Little Help From My Friend “ which is available to listen on YouTube, and are currently finishing up album number two.
